We are located in Lexington, the Bluegrass region of Kentucky.  Being home to Keenland Race Track, and the surrounding counties known more for their thoughbred horses than orchids, Kentucky does in fact have its share of orchid enthusiasts; actively represented by three orchid societies: 

BGOS - Bluegrass Orchid Society (Lexington)

CKOS - Central Kentucky Orchid Society (Lexington)

KOS - Kentucky Orchid Society (Louisville)

Grow in Hydro started up in the Fall of 2003 promoting and retailing semi-hydroponic ™ orchid supplies.   We have since expanded into orchids and orchids in semi-hydroponics as Kentucky Orchids.  All of our seedlings are being propagated primarily in semi-hydroponics ™, and we have built a small lab to dabble in species and primary hybrid flasking. So far our test flasks of Den. unicum are coming along nicely.

Contact us and if it is a species or interesting hybrid I'm sure we can work something out where we will cover the cost of flasking if you want to donate the seed, and receive a free flask or compot when they are ready!
